The Directory of Services Integration team (DI) forms an update API to the Directory of Services (DoS) service. The DI team will ensure data updates remain fit for purpose and clinically safe, to protect our live services and ensure patients are directed to the most appropriate service. Our focus is supporting the activation of service profile updates across dentists, GPs and opticians, as well as supporting our live service covering pharmaci

The DoS is primarily used by NHS urgent and emergency care to ensure patients receive the most appropriate service for their clinical need. DoS underpins 111 / 999 call centres and 111 Online by returning a ranked list of services that can respond to the patient’s condition, location, gender, age and the underlying commissioning geography.

**As a Test Specialist**your main responsibilities would be**:

- Support the assurance and testing work of the cross functional team
- Deliver against a team goals.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, such as retrospectives, standups etc
- Use automated and exploratory test case design techniques and tools in an agile development environment.
- Use tools used for test automation, including bespoke, open source and commercial tools for functional and integration, non-functional and/or data process testing, including those that require coding skills to build a test framework.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Mentor other team members to develop their skills and knowledge in test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bring new ideas and technologies to the table.
- Support knowledge transfer by way of documentation, show and tells and pair work where appropriate.

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Specialist knowledge or experience of test and assurance practices, tools and techniques in an agile environment, including effective risk management.
- Proven knowledge of key concepts of agile development - the agile lifecycle, the principles of continuous integration.
- Good knowledge of tools used for test automation, including bespoke, open source and commercial tools for functional and integration, non-functional and/or data process testing, including those that require coding skills in order to build a test framework, such as Pytest, Locust.
- Knowledge of heath care informatics systems and the technology used:

- proficient in programming languages; Python
- messaging and data exchange essentials such as HTTP, SOAP, XML, FHIR and JSON
- using secure Cloud services and integrated infrastructure, especially AWS
- operating systems such as MacOS UNIX / Ubuntu LINUX
- database technologies such as PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora
- querying technologies such as SQL
- familiar with AWS technologies, such as DynamoDB, Lambda, S3 and API gateway
- Unit testing
- BDD (Cucumber)
- TDD
- Git
- API Testing (Rest assured)
- familiar with testing serverless architecture.
- An understanding of exploratory and/or automated testing and their advantages to functional and integration and/or non-functional and/or data process testing.
- Proven ability to use structured test data and test environment provision to improve and enable functional and integration, non-functional and/or data process testing.
- Understanding of overall technological landscapes, evolving requirements, technology and trends.- Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas._
