Kitchen Assistant - New Opening
**Duties**:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the direction of the head chef or kitchen manager
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Wash, peel, and chop ingredients
- Measure ingredients for recipes
- Assist in plating and presentation of dishes
- Stock and organize inventory
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Help with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
**Note: This position is primarily focused on catering services. Experience in catering or event planning is a plus.**
