**Duties and responsibilities**:
You will play a major role in the design and execution of the project and co-author work. You will also assist with data preparation, merging, modelling, and analysis and will contribute to co-authored journal quality papers as well as coordinating the work of others as required. Based in our Economics & Public Policy department you will be expected to play an active intellectual role in the life of the department and the Hitachi-Imperial Centre, including collaborating with other research projects, and staff in other departments. We are looking for individuals who are excited about communicating their research to decisions makers.

Additionally, you will assist with data preparation, merging, modelling, and analysis and will contribute to co-authored journal quality papers as well as coordinating the work of others as required. You will help the team to organise stakeholder meetings and workshops and communicate results to the academic community and the wider public.

**Essential requirements**:
You will have a PhD (or be under one year to completion from post start date) in either Economics or another quantitative social science discipline.

You should also have a research interest in the transition to a zero-carbon economy and in the economic, financial, technical, and behavioural/managerial implementation of decarbonisation solutions. In addition, an advanced analytical skills in handling and quantitative analysis of large firm-level datasets; and experience in the use of R, STATA and other econometrics software, and experience of execution and write-up of independent research projects.
