We have a fantastic opportunity for a Full-Time, Production Planner within our Operations Team based at our Head Offices at Lindal-in-Furness to help us to manage short, medium and long term production plan to achieve set targets/KPIs in order that Wax Lyrical meets its business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for developing and implementing an achievable 4 week production schedule
- Ensure the daily and weekly schedule is met by working with production team leaders to hit deadlines
- To review production efficiency rates with production as required challenge any loss/gain in line time
- Working with the Production team to ensure shifts and future labour requirements are communicated and met
- To set the forward production model for the months and year ahead, levelling out peaks across the year
- Efficient balancing of materials required for production, mitigating stock-outs and over-stocks
- Checking and updating the system in accordance with the specification sheet
- Participate in new range hand over process from Sales, track progress and ensure supply on-time in-full - through scheduling products into production in line with Critical Path dates.
- Conducting weekly schedule review meetings with appropriate functions; agreeing the forward plan - review forecasts, NPD, promotions and discontinuations
- Manage adhoc requests from Sales for additional stock requirements and ensure ‘in stock’ dates are accurately communicated in a timely way.
- Report weekly on KPI’s
- Through continuous improvement activities, ensure waste and non-value add activities are minimised and eliminated
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are in the correct format and reviewed regularly
- To ensure compliance with quality standards and health and safety/environmental legislation
- Contribute ideas and suggestions are made so that continuous improvement is part of day to day life.
- Commit to Wax Lyrical’s values, policies, procedures and objectives
- Any other duties as required from time to time

**Personal Profile**:

- CIPS level 2 or equivalent experience
- Preactor experience
- Confident, organised and proactive
- Computer literate, in particular proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, but specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Numerate and literate
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- High levels of attention to detail
- Self-motivated and organised
- High level problem solver
- Customer focused; puts the customer at the heart of everything they do
- Team player; works well as part of a team
- Committed to CI; continually improving the way we do things
- Being resilient and able to deal with the demands of the business
