**About the role**
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning team at DCA-PR. We’re looking for a creative and highly driven individual with a passion for video and content creation. You’ll be supporting the Head of Digital Content and Company Directors in one of the leading South West PR and marketing agencies, working with a varied range of clients from corporate businesses and public sector organisations to leading brands and consumer-facing companies.
We are currently looking for a Devon/Cornwall based Junior Video Producer to join the team at DCA-PR. Working within a well-established, dynamic and fast-growing business. This new role provides an excellent opportunity for a junior videographer to showcase their skills to a large and highly engaged audience. We’re looking for someone who can help create a range of distinctive videos and creative content for our diverse range of clients. The role will include travelling to locations throughout the region, filming videos (e.g. case studies, corporate videos, events, news stories) and working to edit and create highly engaging content for our ever growing list of clients.
We want you to join our team if you have the following qualities:
- Proven experience in working on professional-quality videos (showreel and portfolio of previous work; any relevant social media channels)
- Bachelor’s degree or similar in Film, Design, Media, Photography or related field
- Social media content creation skills (including Instagram, TikTok and Youtube)
- Passion for the latest trends in social media and digital video platforms
- Ability to work independently as well as within a small team
- Willingness to work outside of standard office hours and to tight deadlines when necessary
- Be able to travel independently around the South West and prepared to work on location when required for film projects
- Excellent understanding of digital media trends, with high understanding for what makes content shareable online
- Enthusiastic, passionate and driven, proactively and willing to go the extra mile to complete projects
**Skills Required**:
- Assist the Head of Digital Content and Head of Social Media with the production of client videos and creative content
- Help to generate new ideas for compelling video content for our clients
- High knowledge of, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Final Cut (knowledge of DaVinci and After Effects is desirable)
- Comfortable creating video and still imagery using digital cameras (Sony FX/Alpha series, GoPro, iPhone, etc.)
- Basic Motion, animated graphics, typography and titling experience
- Confidence in ability to create diverse video formats such as vertical videos, gifs and typographical animations
- Knowledge of digital media including codecs, image types, resolutions, frame rates and the latest digital workflows
- Experience conducting, recording and lighting for interviews and creating cinematic b-roll sequences
- Basic understanding of colour-correction, sound design and audio mixing
- Previous editing experience with an existing portfolio of work
- Excellent time management/organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- A proven ability to work autonomously and to use initiative on projects
- Ability to edit a wide range of social media videos: both unscripted and scripted, using original and archival footage
- Quickly assemble edits and experiment with alternate versions, tailoring for various placements and platforms
- Produce content to be used as part of media, advertising and marketing campaigns and design elements that can be used across media platforms and channels
- Identifying exciting potential video/photo opportunities and help to arrange and coordinate film shoots
- Planning interviews, storyboarding, and potentially scripting videos to transform concepts into highly watchable, sharable pieces
- Keeping up to date with latest industry trends, camera equipment and developments within the markets
