A fantastic new opportunity working as a full time, Quality Support Officer based in Manchester. The 12-month fixed term contract role has a salary on offer of £25,437 with hybrid working.
**Client Details**
Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) is an independent national service. They make fair and final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England, UK government departments, and some other public organisations. In caseswhere an individual or group believes there has been injustice because an institution has not acted fairly or has provided a poor service and not put things right, PHSO is the organisation that investigates. PHSO do this fairly and transparently without takingsides, and their service is completely free.
**Description**
**The key responsibilities of a Quality Support Officer will include, but may not be limited to;**
- Use quality control and assurance activities, methodologies, and tools effectively
- Audit casework and compliance recommendations and accurately record evidence against policy led quality standards, measures, and PHSO's service charter commitments
- Provide quality sampling based on priorities and themes
- Ensure that the SMART remedies PHSO recommend to organisations we investigate are met fully or escalated in line with policy and guidance
- Develop and maintain intranet and internet Quality content and communications
- Administrative support to the team and wider Quality and Improvement team
- Support and engage with change across the business
- Participate in learning & development activity and professional development as required
- Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement and excellence
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
- Promote and support the PHSO's vision and values
- Complete any other duties commensurate with the role
**Profile**
**The successful Quality Support Officer must possess the following skill set and experience;**
**Knowledge**
- An understanding of quality control, assurance, and standards
- An awareness of public administration (central government in particular) or the NHS and the context in which it operates
**Skills**
Essential:
- Ability to analyse information and spot trends in data with strong attention to detail
- Good team-working and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- IT literate
- Ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Self-motivated and well-organised: able to work with mínimal supervision
- Good with organising and prioritising own workload
Desirable:
- Some feedback / coaching experience
**Experience**
Essential:
- Working in an administrative environment or providing a service to internal customers
Desirable:
- Working in a Quality or Auditing
- Experience in casework management
