Established in 1963, our client is one of Redcar & Cleveland’s biggest privately owned employers. They are an award-winning, heavy engineering subcontractor with one of the largest machining capacities in the UK. The company offers subcontract machining,mechanical engineering and testing services to a number of Industries including Defence, Renewables, Energy & Rail.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Experience working within a purchasing function
- Experience in managing multiple areas within an office environment
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work
- High level of competence in MS Office (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi
- task
- Tenacious and determined with a desire for personal success

**What will your role as an Office Manager look like?**
- As an Office Manager your role will be to supervise and oversee the day to day running of the administrative functions including front of house, sales, purchasing and general administration
- Chair meetings where required and take adequate meeting minutes
- Manage company visitors and communications in line with company guidelines
- You will also be responsible for all purchasing/ buying activity within the business, sourcing goods and services, placing purchase orders, following up with suppliers and maintaining supplier relationships
- Assist with maintaining ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 management systems including carrying out internal audits and H & S documentation (permit to work etc)
- Deputise for other roles in their absence
- Ensuring all equipment and Infrastructure are maintained and functional (including statutory requirements)
- Dealing with any purchasing issues such as late deliveries/ faulty goods etc.
- Use of company ERP system to achieve the above and overall knowledge to provide support, training and assistance to others
