**About the role**:

- This role is a pivotal role and will cover multiple areas of security, including technical security, data governance and training and awareness.
- You will influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels across the business to consider Cyber security implications and will advise on how to align with good Cyber security practices. We have already done a lot of work on improving our channels, but we need to expand our team of internal communications professionals, to help us get the right information out, to the right people, at the right time.

**Key responsibilities**:

- This is a varied and challenging role, but here is a taste of what your day-to-day activities could include:

- Assisting in reviewing security controls, defending against cyberattacks, and ensuring compliance with regulations to enhance Cyber maturity.
- Defining security strategies, assessing risks, and leading security projects while engaging with internal teams and external vendors.
- Developing relationships with stakeholders, understanding business goals, identifying improvement areas, and ensuring compliance with security measures.
- Assessing solution designs, analysing emerging threats, and ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies and cyber threats, proposing and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
- Providing updates to Directors and stakeholders on strategic initiatives, security trends, and incident response plans, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**About you**:

- You will be experienced in a security role, ideally within a large corporate environment with a Cyber function. You will have a good understanding of networks and interconnectivity and experience of using Cyber defence tools.
- We’re also looking for the following:

- Advanced/Intermediate certification for Cyber Security
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
- Ability to quickly analyse and translate complex and detailed documentation into simplified tools for use by colleagues in all functions of the business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of communicating with all levels of the organisation as well as suppliers and consultants.
