**Job Title**: Investigations Lead - Wildlife Crime
**Location**: Remote/UK-Based (Travel required)
**Contract Type**: Fixed Term, Six Months (with potential for permanent contract)
**Salary**: £27,000 per annum
**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the Director to research individuals suspected of involvement in wildlife crime.
- Use OSINT skills to regularly monitor and track wildlife crime activities online.
- Develop and enhance online tools and techniques for intelligence gathering.
- Conduct outreach with UK police forces and animal protection organisations to establish working relationships.
- Lead or support criminal investigations under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, Hunting Act 2004, or Protection of Badgers Act 1992, which includes gathering witness statements, liaising with veterinary experts, reviewing CCTV footage, and working with local police.
**Skills and Experience**:
- **UK Driving License**: Essential for travel at short notice.
- Experience in conducting OSINT research, with training or formal education in this area.
- Comprehensive knowledge of intelligence processes and analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of policing information governance requirements, including the Data Protection Act 1998.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with external contacts, including law enforcement and animal protection agencies.
- Experience in handling sensitive information securely, adhering to relevant protocols and legislation.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
