**Job Title**: Quantity Surveyor

**Salary**: Circa £5k

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

In addition, you will support the company as required regarding financial status and profitability on allocated developments of mostly timber framed construction but with some traditional build included.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Produce accurate and realistic estimates, budgets and monthly forecasts and cost control measures
- Monitor site performance against original plans, budgets, and financial targets
- Provide cost reports and key date updates to deadline
- Communicate regularly with other disciplines, sales, land, construction and architects, as necessary
- Take full ownership of the surveying responsibilities for own developments
- Taking a lead in developments and working closely with other disciplines

**Key Requirements**
- Experience working in a similar role with a housebuilder is essential
- RICS qualifications/ Degree in Surveying beneficial but not essential
- High level of proficiency in various computer packages including MS Office Products - Word, Outlook,
- PowerPoint and Excel
- Familiar with Building Regulations and current standards
- Good technical knowledge
- Accurate production of reports and presentations
- Experience using Eque 2 or similar land appraisal & procurement software
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
- Reliable and flexible
- Team player
- Decisive
- Self-motivated and pro-active
- Attention to detail
- Acts on own initiative
- Excellent planning and organising skills
