Band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Technical Instructor, 30 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and organised individual to join the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team, based in Wrexham Child Health Centre, as a part time (30 hours per week) Band 3 Technical Instructor to work with children with a variety of communication difficulties. You will be part of a supportive team of Speech and Language Therapists and Technical Instructors who work in a variety of locations across Wrexham and Flintshire to provide services to children with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The successful applicant will work in Early Years and school aged services delivering individual and group therapy as well as providing training to parents and education staff. Previous experience of working with children with speech, language and communication needs is desirable and you will be actively encouraged to continue to develop your skills and knowledge under the supervision of Speech and Language Therapists.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. This job offers a rewarding and challenging clinical environment. With high levels of expertise in the team, it also offers learning and development opportunities. We will provide in house training for the successful applicant and regular support and supervision is available to all staff in addition to BCUHB mandatory training.
The ability to travel across the North East Wales region is essential to this post.
