Amblers Orchard opened to customers in December 2021, supporting older people aged 55+ with varying care andsupport needs to live independently in their own home with peace of mind. We offer high quality care and support living in our 63 beautifully designed apartments with a variety of on-site facilities including assistive technology, 24/7 on site wellbeing andcare provision, restaurant, café, hair/beauty salon, cosy communal lounges with family area, activity room and picturesque landscaped gardens. We?recognise and celebrate our differences, together we make Home Group a great place to work? **Your role** As our Care Worker (known internally by us Reablement Worker), you’ll be supporting our customers in their own apartment within Amblers Orchard who have a range of support needs including frailty and dementia. You’ll be helping them to regain or maintaintheir independence and live well in their own home by carrying out every day daily living activities by themselves. You’ll also help customers who have more complex needs with personal care including bathing, toileting and getting dressed. You’ll find that no two days are the same because everything we do is "person centred" around our customers. So, you might be helping with personal care (like bathing and issuing medication) in the morning, supporting to cook their lunch and a bit of shoppingin the afternoon. We even help customers to go on holiday. You’ll assist in the delivery of tasks based on our customers personal support plans, ensuring every customer feels valued, respected and that their dignity is maintained. **Working hours** We’ll be providing 24-hour support, so you’ll work on a rota basis with shifts between 7.00am to 10.00pm, taking your turn to work days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet their needs, but in return we’ll give you thetime you need to do the things that matter to you. **About you** You’ll be passionate about making a big impact on our customers’ lives and helping us shape this exciting new service. Your empathy will really shine through as will your ability to empower customers to live their best life. It’s important that you haveworked in a supported housing environment before, be willing to provide personal care and have an understanding of CQC requirements. You’ll have experience of risk management, supporting and empowering customers through their care plans. To help us keep up-to-daterecords and our customer safe we need you to be technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe) so that you can use our systems. You will hold a Level 2 Diploma in Care or have equivalent experience, but if you don’t, we’ll pay and support you to achieve this. If you have experience of providing reablement focused support before then this would be fantastic We won’t drop you in thedeep end, we’ll nurture your talent, help you understand how things work at Home Group and you’ll have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support. **About our team** Our fabulous team are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a 'work family’. You’ll be reporting to Melissa our Registered Manager, working alongside our Careand Support team and our housing management team too. We have a client service manager, 5 Lead Reablement workers and 7 reablement workers in our team, however this is going to increase which means there is plenty of support on hand. When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for this, if you don’t have a transferrable one already.
