**Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive support for children aged 16-18 within the care system.
- Provide comprehensive support to separated migrant children within the Stepping Out Programme.
- Facilitate the integration of children into the host community, emphasising cultural understanding and social cohesion.
- Collaborate with schools, medical facilities, home offices, and community organisations to address the unique needs of each child.
- Implement a structured plan for sports, leisure activities and extra curricular pursuits to enhance social development.
- Foster the acquisition of life skills necessary for independence at the age of 18, in accordance with supported accommodation regulations and OFSTED standards.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development, documenting achievements and challenges.
- Provide emotional support and guidance, promoting a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a holistic support network for the children in the programme.
- Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and cultural considerations to ensure effective and culturally sensitive support.

Qualifications:

- Relevant experience in social care, child welfare, or a related field.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by separated migrant children and commitment to their well-being.
- Knowledge of OFSTED regulations and supported accommodation standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families and external stakeholders.
- Ability to Work collaboratively in a team-orientated environment.
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple aspects of the service provision effectively.

Hours:
Full and Part time, must be available to work shift pattern as we are a 24/7 service.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 39 per week

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
