Blue Peris is seeking a **Housekeeper/ Domestic Assistant** to join our team.

This role at our centre in Dinorwic, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, you see you contribute and play a vital role in maintaining the standards of cleanliness and housekeeping. In addition, you will support the Head cook and catering team in the preparation and delivery of meals

**What you need**:

- A can-do attitude
- A focus on customer service.
- Be a team player
- IT skills in view of the use of word and excel
- Ability to speak English

**About You**:
Ideally, have some experience of working within a kitchen environment, basic cooking as well as experience in supporting with housekeeping duties, such as basic cleaning and laundry.

You’ll also need experience of preparing basic pre made food dishes, some that require cooking, and a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, (although training can be provided for this ).

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

**Overall**
- To ensure all necessary qualifications for the post are maintained and renewed as required and undertake required training
- Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate in line with the needs of the service and commensurate with grade.
- Having regard to standards of Health and Safety
- Provide a customer focused service

**Housekeeping**

**Some of the tasks and responsibilities associated with this role include**:

- Undertake the cleaning duties as required to ensure centre is cleaned daily

**Kitchen**

**Some of the tasks and responsibilities associated with this role include**:

- Receive, food deliveries
- Heat and serve meals that have already been prepared.
- Supporting the domestic team operating in the serving area
- Perform kitchen set-up and close-down process
- To participate in the serving meals (not table service) and basic food preparation such as salads, cooked breakfasts

- Morning shifts from 7.00am and evening shifts up till 7.00pm are shared, thus meaning you’re not working early or late every day.

**Working Hours**
- Zero hours
- hours depending on requirements of the centre on a Weekley basis
- Normal centre opening hours are between 7.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday.
- No double split shifts
- The am and pm shifts to be shared with other staff
- Some weekend working will be required and shared with other domestic staff. This is often 1 weekend per month. At times this will either be a Saturday morning 7.30am -11.30am or Sunday 1.pm to 7.pm

**Salary** **Full Time** £12.60 per hour
