**Role and Responsibilities**:
Support for Pupils

Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model, and being aware of, and responding appropriately to, individual needs.

Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.

Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.

Encourage pupils to act independently, as appropriate.

Support pupils with technical troubleshooting queries.

**Support for the Teachers**

Daily set up of IT equipment in the computer suite.

Help to prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear up afterwards.

Be aware of pupil problems and report to the teachers, if instructed.

Undertake pupil record keeping if requested.

Provide clerical/admin support e g photocopying, typing, filing, etc.

**Support for the Curriculum**

Ensure all IT equipment is running as expected to support with teaching and learning.

Support pupils in using basic ICT, as directed.

Support pupils to understand instructions.

Support pupils in respect of local and national learning strategies, as directed by the teacher.

Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed by the teacher and assist pupils in their use

**Support for the School**

Be aware of, and comply with, policies and procedures relating to child protection, health safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.

Appreciate and support the role of other professionals.

Attend relevant meetings, as required.

Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development, as required.

**IT Responsibilities**

Ensure the maintenance of a clean and orderly working environment

First line technical support for staff and pupils

iPad maintenance and internet security

Classroom/office trouble shooting, including PCs, projectors and interactive boards, etc

Printer and photocopier management

Setting up equipment for training, events and assemblies

Supporting with IT based clubs

Ensure the school website is compliant and up to date

**Required Skills**:
Good IT skills - knowledge of different computer packages

Good keyboard skills

Numerate and Literate

Good communication skills

Ability to work to tight timescales

Able to work as part of a team, as well as individually

**Required Qualifications**:
Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent

**Training**:
Maths and English to Level 2 required, if not already achieved

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour in relation to
- customer service principles and practices
- business principles
- technical competencies
- knowledge and understating
- research activities
- commercial awareness
- managing challenging situations and taking ownership
- health and safety

Ongoing assessment by the employer and provider - for example meetings with apprentice, employer and learning provider, observations of workplace, gathering evidence

Undertake a self-assessment in the last month of their apprenticeship to enable them to see whether they are confident that they have taken on board all aspects of the occupation. This self-assessment must be submitted to the independent end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for independent End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project; an employer reference and a structured interview about their portfolio and project.**Prospects**:
