The Role

To provide custody and maintenance of all assets held within Funds at Lloyd’s on behalf of all members, ensuring Lloyd’s regulatory and trustee obligations are consistently met.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a high quality and efficient service in the handling of all Members’ affairs
- Ownership of the life cycle for all portfolio transfers to and from Funds at Lloyd’s by arranging settlement and registration of all acceptable asset classes, which includes: Unit Trusts, Equities, Bonds/Gilts, Life Policies, National Savings Certificates,Bank and Building Society Accounts, Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit
- Ensuring all requests received for the deposit of additional funds, FAL re-arrangements including releases and substitutions are transferred, settled and registered in accordance with the instructions from the Member/Members Agent and/or validator and withinthe internal service standards and/or external market deadlines. To support the bi-annual Coming
- Into-Line process and bi-annual reporting to the PRA for Lloyd’s Ancillary Owned Funds.
- To communicate effectively with Members’ Agents, Stockbrokers, custodians, Investment Managers, Financial Institutions on operational matters concerning the transferring, settlement and registration of different asset classes.
- To maintain effective controls, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to strict market deadlines and service standards
- Responsible for escalating all outstanding items/queries to the Team Manager for reporting purposes
- To build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders ensuring a high level of satisfaction
- To ensure compliance with Lloyd’s Trustee obligations, financial crime and anti-money laundering legislation
- Health & Safety: Read, understand and adhere the Lloyd’s Health & Safety at Work Policy.
- Information Security: Read, understand and adhere to the Lloyd’s Information Security Policy.
- Business Continuity: Awareness of the Business Continuity Plan for their Department including response to alarms, meeting places and call cascades etc.
- Legal & Compliance: Adhere to the requirements of the Compliance Manual, Code of Conduct and relevant laws (e.g. Equal Opportunities, Data Protection etc).

Knowledge
- Knowledge of the various asset classes acceptable as Funds at Lloyd’s, including Unit Trusts, Equities, Bonds/Gilts, Life Policies, National Savings Certificates, Bank and Building Society Accounts, Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit
- Knowledge of business process and systems change tools and best practice principles
- Knowledge of relevant UK & International legal & regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of trust funds and the rules relating to membership of Lloyd’s
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s trustee obligations and regulatory reporting requirements
- Knowledge of stock market settlements for worldwide markets, including the process for re-registration, market rules & regulations and settlement deadlines.

Experience
- Experience of providing customer service in the Financial Sector
- Experience of working to multiple fixed deadlines
- Experience of working within the rules and regulations of Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering and CASS
- Experience and understanding of working within financial and operational risk
- Experience of stakeholder engagement
