**About the Opportunity**

AXIOM is one of the DSA alliance partners and is an unincorporated Joint Venture (JV) made up of three major engineering contracting companies each with complementary capabilities and skills. The members have excellent nuclear pedigrees, demonstrated expertise and effective track records across the UK nuclear fleet and related nuclear industries.

AXIOM provides process, mechanical, civil structural and architectural, electrical, instrumentation, control and safety capabilities to support Sellafield Ltd.

As well as having a large, dedicated team working for Sellafield Ltd, each has immense reach-back capability into parent organisations for knowledge, expertise and innovations gained from within, and external to, the nuclear industry. Examples of other markets include Oil and Gas, Environment, Mining and Aerospace.

The extensive capacity and capabilities of the AXIOM alliance provide the essential expertise that is crucial to achieving both the designs of the alliance and the wider goals of Sellafield Ltd and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).

You will be joining a large existing team that clearly understands the different requirements for optioneering, solution inspired, design decommissioning, operating plant asset care, infrastructure and new builds.

The role will involve the delivery of engineering design in support of Flask Maintenance Repurposing Project (FMRP) for the provision of Paint Removal, Paint Application, Flask Machining, Flask Transportation Facilities, and associated services. Engineering design of building services such as Ventilation systems, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Fire detection, Radiometrics and plant annunciation is also required. The role requires good knowledge of design, construction and commissioning of CE&I plant and equipment. Some support to Flask Maintenance Capability Projects (FMCP) for project integration may be required, however this scope of work is largely being delivered via a separate projects and tasks.

You will support a SL Responsible Engineer (RE). Experience of the following is required:

- Design of services
- Plant modification (design and implementation)
- Nuclear Safety and Hazard Management
- Production of engineering documentation and drawings, including but not limited to; Site Survey Reports, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Routing, Block Cable Diagrams, CDM Risk Assessments, Cable Cards, Outline Installation Method Statements, CAE, input to optioneering, etc.
- BIM Coordination
- Support to Single Discipline Design Review & Production of Minutes of Meetings
- Support to Multi Discipline Design Review & Production of Minutes of Meetings

The role will involve the production of engineering deliverables to support design development through concept, preliminary and detail design phases.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
- Knowledge and experience in project delivery throughout the complete project lifecycle.
- Familiar with a range of available CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) technologies and techniques.
- Capable of independent and autonomous work during the delivery of packages.
- Working closely and effectively with engineers to deliver compliant design deliverables.
- Ablility to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, facility and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit for purpose solutions.
- Be able to present information in forms specifically aimed at a variety of target audiences.
- Demonstrate competence in a design role (Suitably Qualified Experienced Person).
- Experience in use of AVEVA electrical or similar CE&I design packages.
- Nuclear industry CE&I Design.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant IT systems (AutoCAD, DM Desktop AVEVA and PDMS)
