**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced plant/HGV fitter. the role will include servicing, repairing & diagnosing our own fleet of plant & hgvs alongside our customers plant & Hgvs.

experience in hydraulics is essential.

full uk licence is a must. CLASS 1 or 2 would be desirable.

Your role we be working from our small yard in Birtley, DH3. The role would be primarily out in one of our service vans covering the north east. Your own van would be provided along with fuel card.

Own tools would be an advantage.

Rate of pay is depending on experience.

**Duties**
- Assemble and fit components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Install machinery and equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues to management.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, tools, and equipment is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.
- A relevant qualification or apprenticeship in engineering or mechanical fitting would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £13.80-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
