**The Vacancy**

The role of Recoveries Handler is pivotal to the success of the company; settling outstanding debt resulting from credit hire claims presented to third party insurers. Handlers will be expected to make decisions effectively to progress the claims towards settlement or litigation. Excellent customer service skills are imperative, as well as relationship building and negotiation.

**What we are looking for;**
- Understanding of the motor sector and inherent issues, including credit hire
- Knowledge of the ABI GTA, including timescales and rates/vehicle groups
- Knowledge of relevant Credit Hire Case Law
- Knowledge of taxi claims beneficial
- Industry trends and insurer behaviour
- Claims handling, preferably within the motor/insurance industry
- Dealings with credit hire are preferable, whether from CHO, defendant or solicitor perspective
- Experience of liability, fraud etc
- Experience within debt recovery
- Ability to work in a target driven, challenging and fast paced environment, whilst understanding the commercial needs of the business
- Use initiative at all times, but to seek direction when required
- Computer literate, including Microsoft packages, esp Excel
- Ability to learn new software/systems and to adapt to change
- Excellent phone manner and written communication skills
