The Infrastructure Engineer is a technical escalation point providing infrastructure maintenance and technical support services. You will define and drive adherence to procedures and best practices for both the support service and the development of theserver and network infrastructure.

The position will suit a technical expert with a strong background in infrastructure, server support, storage and cloud experience (ideally Azure and O365).

**Key responsibilities**
- Supporting Telecoms, Server and Network Infrastructures, and ensuring the new solutions support the requirements of the business
- Overseeing the O365 ecosystem (Exchange online, Teams, Security and Compliance Centre) and O365 portal (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, AzureAD, Intune, ADConnect)
- Responsible for fully documenting the new solutions and updating documentation when changes are made
- Supporting the development and implementation of systems and service management frameworks required to manage and deliver all IT support and service requests to internal KPIs and internal and external SLAs
- Providing internal users and external clients with 2nd and 3rd line support maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries in accordance with the service management frameworks
- Proposing improvements to the IT systems and service management frameworks that would help improve the user's experience of using the IT support service
- Assisting with responses to IT security requirements and questionnaires as and when required
- Assisting with the design, implementation and on-going testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Production of weekly / monthly management, project or ad-hoc reports as and when requested
- Continual development of industry / marketplace knowledge

**Essential skills and experience**
- An understanding of cloud hosting and cloud infrastructure principles, ideally Azure
- Strong experience with MS Windows Server (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS)
- A strong and demonstrable working knowledge of hardware infrastructure including Cisco network routers, switches and firewalls, telephony solutions (ideally on Cisco IPT) and HP or EMC Storage
- Experience of working within an IT Support and Service function that has delivered a performing, compliant, scalable and cost-effective technology infrastructure
- Experience of working within an ISO27001 certified business and ITIL service management environments with structured change control process and procedures

**Desirable skills and experience**
- Basic experience of software configuration and troubleshooting with SQL
- A Microsoft certification such as MCSE or MCITP
