Care Coordinator

Choice Care requires an experienced Care Co-Ordinator to provide assistance with rota's, answering phone calls, communicating with staff & clients, processing job applicants and general office duties. On Call will be required on an ad hoc basis and additional payments are made for it.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, committed, an excellent communicator, flexible, computer literate and has previous coordinating experience in a domiciliary care setting. You must be a minimum of NVQ 3 qualified and have experience working in adult social care or healthcare. You must also be a car driver with use of a car in case there is a need to cover a care visit either during office hours or whilst on call. Additional pay will be given for care visits undertaken during the on call period or outside of your working hours.
Office hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch, however, we can be flexible about the hours worked with a minimum of 30 hours necessary.
Choice Care provides care to clients in the Blackburn with Darwen and the surrounding areas. We are a Preferred Provider for BWD Social Services as well as providing care for CCG clients and private clients. We are a family business and have been providing care in the area for 23 years

**Responsibilities and Duties**
In any week, you will be part of a team responsible for dealing with any calls that come through, covering any immediate sickness of the care staff and compiling weekly rota's, you will provide our carers with support, be involved in recruitment and retention, as well as general office admin. It is a fast paced environment and you need to have a “can do” attitude.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- You must be computer literate and experienced with Microsoft office
- Have previous experience of compiling weekly rota's for many staff & clients
- Be NVQ 3 qualified in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Have experience with On Call responsibilities
- Be flexible and Reliable
- You must be a driver with your own vehicle.
- Be meticulous with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communicator
- Able to work as part of a team as well as use your own initiative
