Barron Williams have been retained on this confidential search for a key role for our client. Are you a strategic-thinking manufacturing operations leader looking for the opportunity to make a significant impact in enabling an ambitious North East businessto achieve its goals?

Our client is a well-established, privately-owned business with an excellent reputation in its chosen markets. Your role will be to take full managerial accountability for the entire manufacturing process, including; OTIF, customer satisfaction, CI, maintenance,materials and production planning. Playing a key role within the Senior Leadership Team, you will build key relationships with all areas of the business to ensure that strategic goals are met. You will take the lead in driving efficiency to improve profitability,ensuring that production targets for time, cost & quality are met. An experienced manufacturing operations leader, you will set realistic team goals and objectives and support your team through identified change management initiatives. A CI champion, you willbe familiar with lean manufacturing techniques and be able to actively support the business growth plan through the delivery of further process improvements as the business scales.

You will be an experienced manufacturing operations leader with a hands-on and commercial approach. You’ll be able to demonstrate relevant experience of managing teams in relevant manufacturing settings, delivering measurable process improvements and furtherdeveloping a CI culture. Can you lead a small, skilled team in a business with ambitions to grow? Lead key change management projects from the front to help the business to realise its ambitious, yet realistic goals?

**Job Title: Head of Manufacturing Operations**

**Reports to COO**

**Package: Negotiable salary + car, bonus and benefits package**

**Location: NE England**

**Key Deliverables**:

- Develop and implement agreed strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Ensure the production targets are met to agreed time, quality & cost KPI’s
- Lead in the development and commitment to a health & safety culture at all times
- Review current manufacturing processes and practices inc; product ranges and product types, production efficiency, productivity & workflows, materials and waste, quality, maintenance & scheduling
- Lead the manufacturing team through growth and planned change, utilising proven management skills
- Instantly credible manufacturing operations leader with a min. of 3 years’ experience in relevant settings
- Engineering background and/or education likely, applied in similar manufacturing environments
- Demonstrable Lean and CI track record and ideally, experience of operating to ISO9001 standards
- Able to review and assess manufacturing operations and identify and implement process improvements
- Excellent communications skills, able to form effective relationships with colleagues as part of the SLT
- A genuine people-person, leads from the front and values each and every member of the production team
