**Duration**:1 or 2 years depending on level already achieved

**Location**:ZSL Whipsnade Zoo

**Hours**:37.5 hours, Monday - Friday

**Salary**:Based on age

16-18 - £7/hour £13,650

19+ - £7.49/hour £14,605

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician Apprentice to join us at our Whipsnade Zoo site. With a short term contract offered from now until September when the apprenticeship agreement commences.

Minimum level 1 but will consider level 2 in electrical installation working towards Level 3

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Ideally you will have already completed a Level 1 Electrician course and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for electrical installation, maintenance and repair, and the commitment required to complete the academic element of the college course.
- You must be Interested in becoming a multi-skilled electrician
- Able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Must possess a positive can do attitude and work well within a team

**What you'll do**:

- To work alongside a qualified electrician
- Working safely at all times, complying with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Preparing, checking and using the appropriate documentation (such as job instructions, drawings, quality control documentation).
- Ensuring that all work is performed within the requirements of the relevant statutory legislation.
- Planning and where applicable obtaining all the resources required to undertake the work activity.
- Undertaking the work activity using the correct processes, procedures and equipment.
