**About Us**
James Fisher is a global engineering services company. From our origins as a ship owner and operator, we’ve evolved to provide the expertise and innovative technology our customers need in the harshest of environments across Energy, Defence and Maritime Transport. We have a strong heritage built on the foundations of our people and innovation. Our strategy is centred around the One James Fisher ambition. We are building a stronger, more cohesive engineering service company operating in the Blue Economy.
- The Energy Division provides safe, sustainable products and services for two core markets, oil and gas and renewables.
- The Defence Division provides underwater systems and life support capabilities, for the defence and commercial diving markets.
- Maritime Transport is a leading provider of global maritime shipping and ship-to-ship (STS) transfer services.

Together, we are building a brighter, bolder and more innovative future.

**The Role**

Join James Fisher as our Group PMO Lead and take charge of the continued implementation of the PMO Governance Framework across the organisation. Your role will focus on standardising key elements of the project delivery life cycle, including the tendering process, project execution, contracts administration, and lessons learned. This is essential for ensuring robust risk and opportunity management, effective contract administration, maximising profitability, improving cash flow, and efficient resource management. You'll be implementing a group-wide PMO Framework that aligns with project management best practices and integrates seamlessly into both group and divisional processes.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Ensure the Group PMO Framework meets Group and Divisional requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of all integrated turnkey projects, ensuring compliance and standardisation with the company's project delivery procedure and the associated key metrics.

- Participate in relevant Stage Gate reviews, including those in the Tendering phase.
- Monitor compliance with the divisional Delegation of Authority.

- Optimise Group asset utilisation and oversee the deployment of PMO resources.
- Promote collaboration across divisional product lines to maximise financial KPIs.
- Support Group IT with the implementation of divisional software for Bid Management and Project Delivery.
- Track and monitor the competency and utilisation of all Group PMO resources.
In addition, effective group asset management is crucial, involving the consolidation and implementation of standard asset management databases, coordinated maintenance regimes to exploit synergies across product lines, and divisional asset tracking to maximise utilisation and minimise third-party rentals.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

**Knowledge**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Project Delivery processes, including contract administration, variation order management, risk and opportunity management, and P&L optimisation.

- Proven track record in a similar role.
- Ability to coordinate and support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in meeting tight deadlines while balancing important but less urgent tasks.
- Experience in project budgeting and cost management.
- Proficient in identifying, analysing, and mitigating project risks.
- Proficient with MS 365 suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Planner/Project Bookings).

**Skills**:

- Effective leadership and senior-level management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Pragmatic problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
