Furniture Collection

We are looking for a new team member to work out of Driffield, covering the Hull and Scarborough area, collecting and delivering Furniture on behalf of our client.

Although driving is a large aspect of the role, we want to stress the physical demand of the job. Some items of furniture, such as an electric reclining sofa, a triple wardrobe or a washing machine can be extremely heavy, and our team members need to be able to cope with this.

On a day-to-day basis we operate a 2-person team; no one is expected to lift heavy items by themselves. Furthermore, a good team dynamic is important and therefore applicants must be able to work as part of a small team. Good communication skills are imperative, and the ability to work with different personalities is also essential.

Our team members must show respect to our client, and over time learn and understand their needs, working to best help them. Good customer service skills are also a must, as our crews not only represent us as a company, but our clients also.

Any team is expected to start between 7am and 8am, and an average finishing time is 3pm. We DO pay overtime if a day is particularly long, for example if there has been a delivery a long distance from our depot. There is no set time for lunch; our teams are expected to manage their day around their routes, and fit in a break accordingly.

The shift pattern for this role is every Friday and Saturday.

Holiday and/ or sick cover may necessitate extra shifts. The contract with our client does NOT include Sundays, and therefore you will never be asked to work one.

With this shift pattern you will be entitled to 11 days holiday per annum. Our holiday scheme runs on an accrual basis.

All our team members must pass a basic DBS check - we will pay for the check to be completed.

No more than 3 points on your driving license.
