We are looking to add another sidekick to our team, to allow us to continue collecting valuable donations that fund life-saving research for our client.

What do we collect?

Our team operating out of Driffield collects furniture and household electricals from Scarborough and the surrounding area. (Often these items are big and bulky, so we always send out a 2-person team).

We also deliver the furniture and electrical items sold by our client, and its these sales that fund the life-saving research that our client undertakes.

What else is involved?

Along with helping the driver navigate Scarborough and the surrounding area and using the correct manual handling techniques to safely lift the items for collection or delivery, daily paperwork needs to be completed. Whilst the drivers are concentrating on the road, our sidekicks fill in the paperwork in-between property visits. (This means at the end of the day our duo isn't stuck behind after hours completing the paperwork.)

Then, of course, there's all the usual customer-facing skills, such as being friendly, diplomatic, understanding and generally pleasant.

What shift pattern do we need our new team member to work?

Our new recruit needs to be able to work every Friday and Saturday. (We do have an accrual system for holiday entitlement, so any weekends that are needed off can be booked off.)

Who is our ideal new team member?

*Is physically strong enough to lift bulky, heavy items of furniture.
*Already has a part-time job but needs to top-up income.
*Someone who doesn't need a full-time wage but would still like some monthly income.
*Someone who is in education part-time and would like to be earning a wage on their days off.
*Lives in or near Driffield and can travel to where the van is stored without our intervention
*Knows the area around Scarborough (this is not essential however).

Lastly, all of our team member must have NO unspent criminal convictions. Our new team member will be DBS checked, and should they fail the basic DBS check, their employment with us will be terminated.
