Junior UX UI Designer

We’re looking for a talented, enthusiastic Junior or Graduate UX UI Designer to join our existing team of 12 designers on a full time, permanent basis. As a Junior UX/UI Designer at Phlo, you’ll have the opportunity to work and develop your talent in a highly collaborative, supportive environment alongside researchers, marketers, copywriters, product owners, and engineers.

Phlo designs and builds digital products for both our NHS patients and Private partners. Within this role, you will be joining our ‘Partner Experience’ team which focusses on our exciting suite of ‘Phlo Connect’ products.

**The Job**

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved with the following:

- Working collaboratively with senior/lead designers and on occasion the wider team
- Helping shape user journeys and identifying key touch points
- Participation in workshops and user research
- Participation in outcome analysis
- Designing beautiful, considered UI components and mock-ups
- Use of our design system (with opportunity to contribute new elements)
- Creating Figma prototypes

**Requirements**:
Ideally, we’re looking for the following:

- A relevant degree with a strong UX/UI focus
- A passion for mobile app and web design
- An appreciation of accessibility and how this impacts your designs
- Good knowledge and understanding of approach and processes within UX/UI
- Comfortable presenting work to your design lead and on occasion the wider team
- Working knowledge of responsive design, layout, structure, hierarchy, strong typographic skills, and excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of industry tools, especially Figma
- Well organised approach and conscious of your time management

**The Logistics**

We’re headquartered in the Clockwise building in Glasgow City Centre where we have a small co-working space. We have adopted hybrid working with roughly 1 day in the office and 4 days from home per week.
