**Main Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver engaging and informative construction-related lesson plans, ensuring that they align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
- Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training to students in areas such as building techniques, construction materials, health and safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Document all processes required for each training programme to agreed standards and methodology.
- Minimize delivery risks in accordance with YBVUK’s NOCN Health and Safety policies.
- Teach using state of the art technology and delivery methods.
- Compiling young people portfolios (C&G and NOCN) to record their achievements.
- Undertake other duties commensurate within the role.
- Assess and evaluate young people’s performance through assignments, examinations, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters engagement and promotes a positive attitude towards learning and achievement that reflects YBVs core values.
- Monitor and track young people’s progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing tailored support strategies to address individual learning needs.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in construction technology, and changes in regulations, integrating relevant updates into the curriculum to ensure young people are equipped with current knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of the construction programme, sharing best practices and participating in curriculum development initiatives.
- Proactively foster relationships with industry professionals, seeking opportunities for placements, internships, and networking to enhance young people’s exposure to real-world construction environments and experiences.
- Provide mentoring and one2one support to Youth Partners.
- Engage with the local community to enhance Community Asset Build and Social Action opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up to date data in line with GDPR compliance. Ensuring accurate recording of all youth partners accessing YBVUK, ensuring their journey is tracked and outcomes are recorded.
- Keep up to date and accurate records of Youth Partners’ Construction qualifications.

Personal Specification
**Education/Qualifications**
English and Maths at Level 2 (Assessment can be undertaken prior to Interview) (E)
Level 2 qualification in Construction (E)
PTLLS Level 3 or equivalent or willingness to work towards (E)
Health and Safety Based Qualification (D)
A1 Assessors Award or equivalent (D)
**Experience**
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of various construction practices and techniques. (E)
Teaching or training experience, with a demonstrable ability to effectively convey complex construction concepts in a clear and engaging manner. (E)
Familiarity with instructional technology and the ability to integrate digital resources and tools into the teaching process. (D)
Experience of setting up new processes and systems. (D)
**Skills**
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with young people, colleagues, and industry professionals. (E)
