**About the role**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an operational lead. Our Cleaning Services provides soft facilities management services including building cleaning, caretaking and security services and is Cornwall’s largest provider of building management services, cleaning and managing over 430 premises.

As Operational Lead, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of assigned cleaning contracts and supporting staff. Working directly with the Regional Contracts Manager the role will, through the provision of efficient management of cleaning operations, deliver cleaning services and make a significant contribution to the on-going success of the business division.

The main duties of the role entail:

- To support the Contracts Manager by understanding the requirements of each allocated contract ensuring they are delivered safely, in line with operating procedures, accreditation, polices and best practice.
- To regularly visit all allocated sites, ensuring regular communication with cleaners, especially lone workers.
- To ensure all are being met in order to ensure high levels of client satisfactions reporting potential issues to the Contracts Manager.

**About you**

We are looking for you to bring:

- An NVQ2 in a related service capacity or experience of working in a related service area
- An understanding of H&S in the workplace
- Practical cleaning skills and experience of working as a cleaner

**Working Hours**:37 hours (Monday to Friday with some weekend work required)

**Contract Type**: Permanent

**To be successful in the position you will need**:

- Good attention to detail with a high standard of work
- To be reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
- Cleaning experience is preferred but full training will be provided if necessary
- Observe Health & Safety at work procedures at all times.
