**About the role and our team**

We’re looking for enthusiastic and supportive Adult Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team within the Adult Speech and Language Service in the Isle of Man.

You will be based across various locations on the Island, joining our small, supportive team, who work closely together Your work will help us achieve our vision which is:
“To develop a forward thinking, patient focused service to improve lives for people with swallowing and communication difficulties”

This is a varied clinical role which involves working in an acute and outpatient settings. This will include domiciliary visits within care homes, hospice and within the service users own home.

You will be an autonomous practitioner responsible for the assessment, diagnosing and management of adult patients referred with communication and/or swallowing disorders associated with neurological disorders, trauma, voice disorders and stammering. You will also use evidence based/client centred principles to implement and evaluate Speech and Language intervention.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
