Interim Management Accountant

We are seeking an ACCA/ACA/CIMA Management Accountant on a interim basis for our client who aspires to be the leading global packaging company, winning for their employees, customers, investors and the environment. They recognise their employees are criticalto their success and believe that they are winning when their employees are safe, engaged and developing as part of a high preforming team This is a 3-month fixed term contract with the possibility of being extended for a further 3 months with the opportunityof earning £30,000 per annum (pro rata).

**THE ROLE**

The Management Accountant is required to ensure accurate month end reporting for the Ledbury finance team, also to make sure quarterly, half year and year end reporting deadlines are adhered too. Supporting the financial controller to ensure that the siteis SOX compliant. Liaising and resolving any queries with internal and external auditors. Ensure All Materials Stocks are accurately recorded and to carry out balance sheet reconciliations.

**TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?**
- Co-ordination of all month end, half year and year end accounting processes. This includes the SAP to APEX uploads and validation clearing.
- Completing the half year and year end standard reporting packs.
- Working with the financial controller to set up the budget files required for the Amcor templates.
- Update the budget upload template and ensure all validations are cleared. Load budget into SAP once completed.
- Assist with the MMR for month end.
- Completing sales volume reconciliations between SAP, Pandora and BI.
- Controlling the balance sheet reconciliations.
- Liaising with and resolving internal and external auditor queries.
- Maintenance/ set up of fixed assets and tracking of spend to ensure that projects stay within budget.
- Controlling the setup of new vendors, customers and SAP requests.
- Completing quarterly review of SAP access at site.
- Reviewing and posting the customer accruals where agreements are in place to credit/ invoice regarding resin movements.
- Journal Postings
- Completing stock journals relating to provisions and other adjustments.
- Customer Dispute Notice (CDN) monitoring and resolution, liaising with various teams.
- Quality credits tracking.
- USA Commissions
- Bad debt monitoring and accrual posting
- Sundry invoices/credits
- Customer and Supplier Rebate Calculation Management
- Stock Reviewing - Running Aged Stock reports and provision evaluations. Co-ordinating year end stock count with warehouse and auditors.
- Scrap Management - Review aged stock to produce scrap plans, processing scrap notes and provide a full audit trail.
- Communicate with relevant departments including waste handling.
- Forecasting Stock Provisions - Total ageing provisions and net scrap values calculations to provide the FC with clear indications on financial impact for the month.
- Packaging stocks/ Coatings - Ensure the system is in line with physical stock counts processed by various Departments. Also, understanding the physical process and periodically attending counts.
- Costings
- Manage the costing process within the finance team.
- SAP Updates
- Mass costing updates and raw material price updates.
- Stock Reconciliations/ Machine Rates
- To provide accurate stock figures for Management reporting, NRV Calculations, Labour and Overhead Analysis
- Journal Postings
- Completing stock journals relating to provisions and other adjustments.
- Variance Analysis
- Reviewing the production variances to ensure the standard costs in the system are accurate. Also, to highlight consistently under-performing product lines and feedback to the relevant departments.
- Engineering Stock - Monthly calculation of engineering stores provisions and processing the adjustments as required. Managing the stock count process within engineering stores.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Held a previous finance role for a minimum of 3-5 years (Essential)
- Excellent Computer Skills - Microsoft Works with Excel (Essential)
- Experience of an ERP System (ideally SAP)
- Preferably experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of managing team members.
- Strong communication and commercial skills with experience in a similar role and the capability of working in a fast-paced environment.

**HOURS**
37.5 hours Monday - Friday
08:30am - 05:30pm or 09:00am - 05:30pm (1 hour lunch)
**SALARY**:

- £30,000 per annum (pro rata)
