This successful business in Altrincham is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a small team. Supporting the UK Finance Manager this role has a wide scope of duties, encompassing all aspects of the accounting function.
This role would be suitable for a part qualified accountant looking to develop their role in a busy accounts department.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the UK Finance Manager
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Corporate Finance reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Financial Audit
- Statutory accounts and annual tax returns
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
**Specific tasks**:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Financial journal creation and entry.
- Assisting in the monthly P&L forecasting
- Assisting in monthly Group Finance reporting to strict deadlines
- Responsible for quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting in the annual financial audit
- Assisting in the preparation and reporting of the statutory accounts
- Assisting in the preparation and reporting of the annual tax return
- Monitoring cashflow
- Assisting in the annual budget preparation and analysis
- Supervising staff
- Ad-hoc financial analysis
