The school I am recruiting for are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience working 1:1 with Autism.
The role is working in KS1 within a year 1 class setting supporting a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis. The child is keen to learn and has a passion for aeroplanes. They need support with their social skills and managing their emotions, their behaviour is good,and they follow instructions well.
The school are part of a large academy group and have average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.
- Support a child with Autism 1:1
- Support the class teacher with daily activities
- Assess achievements of pupil.
- Ensure the student can access the curriculum
