The Solutions department at Heathrow delivers integrated solutions to our customer’s operational teams and business sponsors. As our Head of Sponsorship, you will be playing a critical support role in the delivery of our Strategic Programmes that are delivering key transformational objectives and business outcomes while driving efficiency and value from our current assets and capability.
Your guidance and high energy will inspire and guide the Sponsorship Team and engage with the programme and operational teams. This pivotal role will see you managing the interface between business areas and programme teams and collaborating with our Strategy, People and Finance teams.
**Your role will involve**:
- Acting as Managing Sponsorship for one or more of the H7 Programmes, with accountability for Programme outcomes and benefits & Sponsorship delegation
- Steering the Sponsorship team, ensuring a focus on Programme outcome and benefits whilst creating the tools and methodology to embed Programme Sponsorship into the organisation
- Building effective relationships that balance the needs of programmes, the business, and stakeholders
- Working with Programme Lead and Functional Sponsors throughout the programme lifecycle ensuring the focus on Programme outcomes and benefits, assessing the deliverability of agreed scope, timescales, outcome, and benefit parameters
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders’ management to continually improve the Sponsorship process
- Establishing and maintaining the Programme Benefits Management Plan (BMP) throughout the Programme lifecycle, driving benefit optimisation, that ensures outcomes and benefits are realistic and achievable
- Forming a vision and strategy for the future of Sponsorship ensuring it is aligned with the Solutions’ functional strategy
**These skills are essential**:
- Proven management in a range of capital/revenue projects with a clear understanding of project management and sponsorship, particularly the Association of Project Management
- The ability to model and demonstrate appropriate behaviours to implement the change and generate a culture of continuous improvement
- A collaborative and inspiring leader with the ability to create a clear strategic view
- An ability to inspire, motivate and guide across the solutions organisation and into other areas of the business, both internally and externally
**Ideally, you'll also have**:
- Qualification in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent academic achievement
- Professional qualifications (membership of an appropriate institution) or evidence demonstrating continued personal development
