The Department of Diagnostic Imaging is a multidisciplinary department providing diagnostic radiology for the Royal Marsden Trust comprising CT, MR, ultrasound, mammography, General X-ray and interventional radiography. It is a vibrant and extremely busy department, and we are looking for a organised and motivated administrator to join our friendly and dynamic team in Sutton.

The post holder will work 37.5hrs a week covering the core hours of Monday - Friday 8.30- 5pm

The post holder will work as a member of the Radiology Systems team to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Radiology Systems Manager and PACS / RIS Radiographers managing the import and export of imaging to the Trust’s PACS system for MDT and patients referred to the Trust.

The Imaging department also works within a high quality management system and has been awarded QSI Accreditation by UKAS since February

Key Areas
- Receive requests for import of imaging from clinical teams and MDT Navigators.
- Creation of Radiology Information System (RIS) attendances for imaging to be imported.
- Import of imaging from non-encrypted and encrypted CDs to PACS.
- Import of studies from Image Exchange Portal (IEP) to PACS.
- Notify the Radiology System Administrators of imported studies to be merged to patient record.
- Complete RIS attendances for imported imaging.
- Receive and process requests for image transfer by IEP.
- Receive and process requests for image export to removable media (CD / DVD).
- Populate system worklists in preparation for MDT meetings.
- Manage requests for access to historical hardcopy film folders from off-site storage.
- Answer queries from trust service users and personnel from external organisations on image import, transfer and export processes.

IT Systems
- Create orders, scan requests and complete attendances in the Radiology Information System.
- Use the Image Exchange Portal to create requests for imaging, transfer imaging and radiology reports and download imaging.
- Import studies to PACS.
- Search for non-merged studies in PACS
