**What you’ll do**
Reporting to the Direct Markets Ecommerce Director, the Direct Markets Head of Ecommerce Trading will be responsible for leading and developing the Online Trading teams for all Direct business markets, representing their learnings and recommendations across regions and markets within senior decision-making forums. Working in tandem with the Head of Ecommerce Growth and aligning with stakeholders across the Direct Sales organisation, you will lead the online commercial sales teams as they make tactical recommendations for range planning, offer, pricing & campaigns and improved consumer journeys. The result of these endeavours will be maximised financial return and improved consumer satisfaction. You will also work closely with your peers within the senior ecommerce team in order to co-create and deliver the medium-term online strategic direction for Direct markets, including operational enhancements.

You will be capable of operating 12-36 months ahead, whilst also being in the here and now - accurately forecasting in-year site performance metrics to achieve channel sales and profit targets, highlighting risks and opportunities to stakeholders. You will guide your team to be highly commercial and analytical, embedded with a high-performance culture that brings consumer and commercial data together resulting in better trading decisions.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Acts as the senior level pivot point across direct markets on behalf of online commercial.
- Provide expert, insightful analysis of performance data to drive online trading actions and planning holistically across all direct markets - exploiting opportunities and mitigating risks.
- Shapes and sets the online commercial strategic direction for relevant markets within a 12-36-month horizon.
- Steers the 12-month online trade plan.
- Approves and owns a set of OKRs to define commercial opportunities and identify new online sales/profit opportunities.
- Acts as the regional online category expert to support and collaborate with local commercial and operational teams, connecting the commercial strategy to online development and operations plans (in tandem with the Growth Team).
- Prioritises resource /budget and tactical /strategic projects accordingly.
- Ensures that all online activity remains aligned to local compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Looks after a team of online trading experts and analysts, with scope to grow the team as further Volvo markets transform into a direct-to-consumer sales model.

**What you‘ll bring**
You will possess a deep knowledge of ecommerce and experience of operating and leading in a fast-paced online trading environment. Highly commercial with evidence of handling budgets, forecasts and P&L impacts. You will have strong experience of managing teams and influencing internal stakeholders and an entrepreneur’s mentality combined with excellent stakeholder management skills. Situational adaptability is essential in an environment with shifting demands.
The ability to communicate and negotiate at senior level and to motivate others is essential. Knowledge about and experience from local retailer/ dealer partner networks and experience and knowledge from the automotive industry with a strong interest in mobility solutions is highly desirable. You should be used to and enjoy working in a truly cross functional and global context, building long lasting relationships and have the desire to deliver & succeed.
