We have an exciting opportunity for an **Executive Assistant** to join our team and provide high-quality, pro-active and effective secretarial, administrative and general office duties to a very high standard supporting our Managing Director for BG Energy.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Performs administrative duties for our Managing Director of BG Energy
- Respond to routine requests for information and refer more complex requests to the appropriate person and follow up as appropriate
- Co-ordinate and book travel arrangements and plan itineraries, making decisions regarding complex travel itineraries
- Supports on communication plans, Yammer and engagement activity on behalf of MD and in collaboration with comms & HR team
- Ensure the MD, BG Energy and other members of the team as required are prepared well in advance for upcoming meetings and have all the necessary paperwork/documentation
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external queries
- Screen and redirect incoming messages, and manage/ provide responses on behalf of manager as appropriate
- Create agendas, sending out pre-reads and following up as appropriate afterwards
- Meet and greet visitors at all levels of seniority both internally and externally
- Expenses management
- Ad hoc project management as required
- Support in diary management for the team, co-ordinating internal and external meetings
- Helps to organise key events - such as stakeholder visits
- Utilises own initiative to alert team members to important issues as they arise
- Managing stationery and equipment requests
- Payment of invoices
- Co-ordinate BG Energy wide activity with PA network

**Key Competencies required to perform the role**:

- Commercial Know-How: Managing for value, Understanding Centrica, Understanding our Customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships with a broad range of personnel, up to and including SEG/ CEC level management
- High standard of written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information whilst maintaining confidentiality
- Flexible approach to urgent requirements as well as show initiative and ability to deal proactively with any situation that develops.
- Exceptionally well organised with the ability to be flexible in prioritising deliverables and planning accordingly.
- Multi-tasking to make sure that everything is done on time and to exceptional standards.
- Resilient and assertive with the ability to work to strict deadlines
