**Katherine House & Griffiths House (The Cote Charity)**

**We are looking for a motivated, confident, inspired and creative Wellbeing Assistant to join our amazing Wellbeing Team.**

**As part of the Cote Charity, your role would be to**:

- Work with elderly people and those with dementia to challenge the traditional stereotype of a care home and create special memories and moments that they and their loved ones can cherish
- Provide fresh and exciting ideas for internal and external events for both homes to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of the residents.
- Be engaging and confident with facilitating your own daily group activities in either of the care homes
- Be able to spend meaningful 121 time with residents and engage with them coming up with some great ideas to stiumlate interest.
- Help residents to build connections with volunteers and organisations in the community, working with community projects to promote our charity
- Bring smiles and sunshine to everyone by dressing up in fabulous costumes and encouraging staff and residents to participate in the events, some of which will be seasonal.
- Communicate with volunteers and build positive relationships with family members.

We are looking for an upbeat and motivated person who thinks outside of the box and has a smile who is engaging and inspired to make a difference to our residents' lives. Ideally you need to be a ‘people person’, you will be adaptable and willing to try new things. You should be open to learning from the residents, flexible during activities and approachable, with a ‘have a go’ attitude.

You would be working alongside the Wellbeing Coordinator and another Wellbeing Assistant to create a high quality and stimulating weekly programme of activities and events and external trips to lots of lovely interesting places. We are a friendly and supportive team, looking for someone new to join in with all the fun

You need to be IT literate and able to use new technology.

25 - 30 hours a week including 1 Saturday in 3 and possibly alternate Tues or a Thurs evening as we have social club twice weekly.
