Our client, a wedding and event caterer to high acclaim and catering to a rosette level for their clients, are currently looking to recruit a Lead Event Chef to join and enhance their team.
As the Lead Event Chef your role will primarily be based at one of their venues near Farnham, Surrey.
Lead Event Chef Essential Functions:
- Help lead and manage the kitchen. Be empowered to take responsibility and make decisions to ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently.
- Manage freelance kitchen staff including assigning tasks, monitoring adherence to menus, progress chasing and quality assurance.
- For assigned tastings carryout the complete process from preparation, through service and client liaison, to cleaning down the tasting room and kitchen.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive food hygiene procedures for the prep and event kitchens that meet regulatory requirements; take the lead role in ensuring staff have appropriate food hygiene training, and in ensuring consistent adherence to food hygieneand other kitchen procedures.
- Keep the kitchens clean and organised at all times.
- Lead by example in maintaining the company's customer service and quality standards.
- Provide creative input and promote new ideas regarding menus, food presentation, service and productivity.
As the Lead Event Chef you should have a proven track record of delivering weddings and events to a high standard. You will need to be a highly passionate and creative chef with experience to help continue to drive the high standards currently offered withinthe company. A Full UK Driving License is required due to location.
Hours:
In this Lead Event Chef role you will be required to work 4 days per week.
