Principal Consultant

**Purpose of the Position**:
Provide advisory, pre-sales and competency development support for Veda IT Solutions data and analytics practice area. The position enables us to meet its business goals by acquiring new and growing existing accounts using a portfolio of current and emerging offerings enabled through the competencies. The position is responsible for thought leadership, discovery and solutioning, proposals, strategic advisory consulting, and capability development to include talent and expertise.

VEDA IT Solutions Limited provides end-to-end data & analytics solutions to commercial and public sector customers in various markets across the globe with a concentration in the US, EMEA, and the APAC regions. We invests in four core competencies— Cloud and Data Engineering (CDE), Analytics and Data Management (ADM), Business Consulting (BC) and Service Management (SM)—to enable continued access to global markets and unmet needs.

Reporting to the Director - Business Consulting, the position works closely with architects, pre-sales, sales and other practices teams supported by a global delivery model.

**Key Result Areas and Activities**:

- **Thought Leadership** - Build and share experience and evidence-based thought leadership in the industry through various channels such as professional social media, blogs, white papers, webinars, events, and conferences.
- **Provide Sales Support** - Support pre-sales activities including engaging prospects, conducting discovery workshops, developing point of views/solutions/scoping, writing proposals, engaging partners, and supporting sales and marketing enablement with their functional and domain expertise.
- **Consulting for New and Existing Clients** - Provide specialized advisory & consulting services to new and existing customers, share relevant advisories for customers, address unmet needs, expand relationships, manage client expectations, and maintain assigned utilization.
- **Systematically Develop and Maintain Offerings **- Provide stewardship guidance to solutions aligned to the competency, that can be a core differentiator for InfoCepts. Support offering development and support its pilot implementation. Support to develop implementation methodologies, processes, templates, enhance and internalize for the prioritized solutions.
- **Support Organizational Strategy** - Contribute to practice development including sharing and building expertise, nurturing and growing talent, capability and offering development, and corporate initiatives as assigned.

**Work and Technical Experience**:

- Experienced in delivery of data and analytic consulting / professional services
- Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively through speaking, writing, and client presentations
- Expertise in one or more big data platforms and/or analytic platforms such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or Qlik
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms to include AWS and Azure
- Experience building business-oriented solutions in an industry such as retail, health, media, or banking and finance
- Expertise in analysing and synthesizing business requirements and effort estimations, data flow models, working with technical developers and business teams to create, interpret and implement analytics solutions
- Pre-Sales experience in anchoring and authoring proposals
- Adept with data analysis using SQL, Excel will be a plus

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (master’s degree is a plus)
- Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods
- At least 12 years of relevant experience; two years may be substituted for a master’s degree

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year
