**Key role responsibilities/duties for a Liaison Officer**:

- To deliver person centred support services to meet Owner’s and Resident’s personal, social and emotional care needs ensuring their involvement in all aspects of their well-being.
- To participate in social interaction with owners and residents.
- To complete accident, incident, and occurrence on the appropriate system.
- To update owners and residents care plans and other records as directed by the line manager and in-line with Ben’s policies and procedures.
- To participate in the implementation of quality assurance programmes within the service the post holder operates.
- To raise awareness and understanding of Ben’s services with external Health Care and other agencies and ensure owners and residents are aware of the range of care and other support services which may be available to them.
- To maintain an information service library that is available for and accessible to owners and residents.
- To conduct welfare checks as required of owners, in-line with the procedure of the service in which the post holder operates and contact appropriate Next of Kin (NOK)/Power of Attorney (PoA) and/or professionals when required to ensure Owner’s and residents health, safety and well-being is maintained.
- Support reception services as required to ensure excellent owners and residents services at all times.
- To respond to emergencies and undertake the role of incident manager as required in the absence of any other senior managers. (Lynwood Village and Town Thorns only)
- To plan and facilitate a programme of activities alongside owners and residents. This includes onsite activities as well as day trips, at times this will involve driving
- To update owners’ and/or residents’ reviews and other records as directed by the line manager and in-line with Ben’s policies and procedures
- To support Owners to move in into the Village and to move out (Lynwood Village)
- To liaise closely with Owners and Residents families

**Hours of work for a Liaison Officer**:

- **24.5 hours per week**
- 1. **Monday - Wednesday 9am - 5pm, Thursday 9am - 12.30pm**
- 2. **Thursday 9am - 12.30pm, Friday - Sunday 9am - 5pm**
