An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Registrar for a post based at Broomfield Hospital near Chelmsford in Essex.

If you do, we would like to hear from you as we are currently looking for
compassionate and motivated Paediatric Registrars to join our Broomfield Paediatric team.
You will get the chance to work closely with the patients and their families to give a high standard of care and enable a seamless journey for the patient from admission to discharge.
**Daily duties will include**:
- Managing patients in our busy Children’s ward, Paediatric assessment unit and Paediatric Emergency department. This include leading on resuscitation scenarios.
- Working in neonatal unit which include Level 2 neonatal intensive care unit, labour ward and post-natal ward. This involves resuscitating and stabilising premature neonates besides managing common neonatal conditions. The doctor should be competent in neonatal procedures like cannulation, intubation and umbilical lines.
- Managing patients in outpatients area under the supervision of a Consultant.
- Involvement in an active and well established teaching programme within the paediatric department, which includes bedside teaching for junior colleagues, medical students and nurses.
- Present at departmental meetings and participate in simulation exercises. There are also adequate opportunities to complete supervised learning events (SLE).
- Supervision of tier 1 (SHO and FY2) junior doctors. Safeguarding duties under the supervision of Consultant, which includes writing medical reports.
- Participation and doing presentations at internal audit meetings.
- Work in partnership with Consultants, Nurses ,Community Nursing Team and all members of the MDT to ensure the children, young people and their families receive the very highest quality of care.
- Ensure communication is robust, maintaining duty of candour where appropriate.

There will be opportunities to attend varied clinics too. Successful applicants will work along-side doctors in training and will be offered an educational programme with one to one support from educational supervisor.
