This is a permanent post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Medic to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Broomfield Hospital. The team approach is completely embedded in the department and all staff are wholly focused on providing a fast and effective patient service. May close early due to number of applications. Main duties of the job Contribute to the Emergency service at Broomfield Hospitalparticipating in the initial assessment, treatment, referral, and disposition of patients attending the Emergency Department. Work a shift pattern including weekends and night shifts. Tailored job plan to personal needs can be discussed at the interview. Develop skills in managing the department to avoid unnecessary patient waits and maintain good clinical care to all patients. To participate in clinical audit and activities. To participate in continuing professional development. Study leave is actively encouraged and there is significant financial support for appropriate courses. Person Specification Qualifications MBBS MRCS or equivalent GMC registration or eligible for GMC Registration FRCS (Plas) or equivalent Experience Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in the specialty. Demonstrate good knowledge of the structures and culture of the NHS, roles and responsibilities Previous experience at Clinical Fellow ST(1-2) or equivalent level NHS experience Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
