**What you’ll be doing**
As the Repair & Maintenance Manager (R&M) Manager you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of **repair and maintenance services** in your geographic areas.
You will play a key role in the transition to bring R&M activity inhouse, helping to shape the roles and processes to set up the R&M function and then as we **review and transform, to optimise the service.**
Using your **stakeholder management and technical expertise** and in Repair & Maintenance ensure that our newly established ‘in-house’ R&M division operates in line with best practice health & safety standards to ensure effective delivery and customersatisfaction metrics.
**Specific responsibilities will include**:
- Organise, support, and manage teams and subcontractors to ensure execution of work is carried out in a **cost effective and productive** manner
- Implement, monitor, and achieve Thames Water’s targets across **health & safety standards, quality and performance measures**:
- **Manage, coach and develop** individuals in both their roles and their broader careers
- Seek ways to improve how work is delivered through efficient work practices, promoting, and communicating **service performance and best practice** to all staff
- **Lead and inspire** your teams in health & safety, quality and working practices
- **Create and implement innovative strategies, processes and procedures** to improve customer outcomes, business targets and operational efficiency
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and queries and **promote exemplary customer-first service** at every opportunity
- **Build a strong relationship** with the Senior Management of the R&M suppliers in your geographicarea to optimise the service they provide and play a key role in the future supplier strategy
- Be accountable for **delivering the future transformational benefits** through end-to-end business optimisation within water networks
**We’re looking for you to**:
- Have extensive experience leading teams in a customer focused and commercial environment within Repair & Maintenance
- Have a technical understanding of water networkswith knowledge of regulatory requirements and procedures
- Be able to demonstrate repair and maintenance knowledge and experience with an understanding of leakage technology
- Have strong IT skills
- Be able to utilise analytical and problem-solving skills in high pressure environments
- Be a committed team-player and change-manager experienced working with both internal and external stakeholders
