**About Elite Cricket Performance Academy (ECPA)**
The Elite Cricket Performance Academy is a learning space for Youths to attend high standard of Cricket using new techniques and technology through a continual structured improvement process. Our primary objective is to compliment the excellent work undertaken by schools, clubs, district and county programs in the delivery of high quality cricket coaching. Structured long-term customized programs are available during evenings and weekends.
Our goal is to create a positive learning environment for the players and help them play to their strengths and understand ‘their game’.
**Job Description - Cricket Coach**
Reporting to the Head coach, the Cricket Coach is responsible for planning and delivering our Cricket ECPA programs.The program combines a range of cricket skills and fun games for 5-12-year-olds during ECPA programs.
Cricket Coaches are responsible for coaching and looking after a group of up to 20 children (ratios vary depending on child ages), delivering high-energy, fun, and inclusive sessions that ensure every child is engaged and makes progress, regardless of their ability.
Activities can include anything from batting, bowling, wicket keeping and fielding, Each session is typically (depending on age) between 30 and 60 minutes long.
Child safety is our number one priority, so coaches need to ensure that the welfare of children is paramount at all times, supervising children during their breaks, participating in sessions, overseeing the safe use of equipment, and promptly recording any incidents.
Popular program sessions may require Additional Cricket Coaches, so you’ll need to be able to work proactively and collaboratively as a team. You’ll also need to maintain professional relationships with children, parents and carers, communicating positively and providing feedback on a child’s progress throughout programs.
**What Makes ECPA Coach (Person Specification)**
We’re looking for high energy individuals who can demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- A passion for working with children and/or young people
- At least 3 months’ consecutive experience working with 5 - 17 year olds
- Appropriate experience delivering Cricket programs or coaching Cricket
- A willingness to liaise with parents, delivering high quality customer service
- A real team player who’s happy to rotate duties and form positive relationships
- At times things change, so you’ll need to be flexible, with a willingness to adapt
- Leadership skills with a vibrant and confident personality
- Possess and able to document (a minimum) or earn level 1 Cricket qualification (ideally level 2) through the ECB, CPD or UKCC.
- **Locations, Working Hours & Pay**:
- We run ECPA training programs and school engagement programs in over 10 locations across West London (don’t worry, we’ll liaise with you on your closest venue)
- Child numbers and the needs of our members vary but we’re looking for coaches to be fully available for ECPA Programme weeks (between 3.00 PM and 8.30 pm, Monday to Friday) or on weekends ( 10:00 AM to 18:00 AM)

- An interview (approx. 40 minutes), either in-person or via Skype, covers suitability, experience, skills, attitudes as well as the opportunity to showcase an activity session plan.
- If successful at the interview, we will seek at least 2 professional references from your work history
- High performing coaches will be entered onto our staff development program, with the aim of securing a future promotion (we actively seek to promote from within) and a priority contract for the following season
