**Careers & Outreach Advisor**

At Fareham College we currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven individual to join our team as a Careers & Outreach Advisor.

**What is the role?**

The Careers & Outreach Advisor role will provide opportunity for you to learn and explore all avenues of modern learning pathways for a diverse range of students within further education, which will equip you with expert knowledge to effectively advise and guide students throughout their individual journeys.

To be successful in this role you will enjoy being customer facing and have a passion for supporting students in finding their career ambitions and course choices. In addition, you will have a natural flare for innovation, a flexible approach to work and excellent organisational skills.

If you enjoy working with people and are a confident communicator, the outreach aspects of the role will enable you to utilise your professional skills to proudly represent the College at external events and build valuable relationships with our community and future business partners.

It is beneficial that you either hold, or are working towards, a level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification and have experience working in a fast paced, customer service environment.

In addition to the above, other key role responsibilities include:

- To organise and attend traineeship recruitment days.
- Providing a welcoming, flexible, first point of contact for all students, visitors and staff.
- Assisting with the online web-chat function and providing timely responses to incoming queries.
