The Production Coordinator should be a strong team player with very good communication skills. They should be flexible and adaptable in their hours and tasks depending on the levels of workload and needs of the business. They should be able to work independently without too much direction and take responsibility for decisions made. They should have a strong awareness of the organization. They should be creative and innovative to enable the company to move forwards.

On a day-to-day basis, this role will be a member of an Integrated Project Team and will work collaboratively in the team to deliver. This will be under the direction of a Project Manager for a specified project.
**Main Responsibilities**
**Production Coordination**
- Work with Production and NPI Engineering teams to develop and compile prototype NPI build plans, keeping them up to date to enable effective reporting.
- Have a hands on approach and work with the Operations and Project Management team to ensure material is moved and progressed around the business to meet build plans
- Support station builds/setting up the area ready for prototype builds to take place and ready for use
- Collect and deliver tooling to each station as required
- Ensure all necessary resources including correct parts required by the cell are available when required
- Plan and support adherence to project plan
- Ensure all production areas are available to support the build. Reserve a slot and confirm with each area owner
- Ensure all IPOs(Works Orders) required are in place and IPO delivery dates are aligned with program requirements
- Produce Work Packs of IPOs, Drawings, Concessions and any other necessary documentation
- Ensure all IPOs are kitted in a timely logical fashion with all required data collected to meet cell requirements
- Ensure all shortages are identified and recovery strategies in place and executed
- Manage any 2-Bin/Kanban replenished parts, consumables and calibration requirements for the cell
- Ensure all external resources (Workspace, Polishing, Testing, Cleaned Transport Tools etc.) are scheduled to be available at the appropriate time
- Ensure all appropriate data is collected and available for upload to the customer’s portal
- Resolve/assist with any urgent cell issues to avoid operators being diverted onto non-value add activities
- Support prototype, preproduction builds
- Tracking and recording of prototype manufacturing process times, build issues, improvements, etc

**Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience as a planner / material expeditor or similar within a manufacturing business
- Experience in leading or supporting production teams
- Experience of using an MRP system (e.g. SAP)
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook etc.) skills
- Accurate and organized
- Non-smoker / vaper
**Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Cleanroom experience (ISO Class 6 and higher)
- Experience in fiber / semiconductor industry
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
**Minimum Competencies**:

- MRP skills
- Microsoft Outlook & Excel skills
- Accuracy and numeracy skills
- Clerical administration skills
- Kitting and issuing
