Group Reporting Accountant | Manchester | £45,000 - £50,000

Search Consultancy are pleased to be representing a well established PLC based in Manchester. They are looking to appoint a Group Financial Accountant to their growing team. This is a great opportunity to work for a leading institution in their respectiveindustry thriving in an environment that prioritises progression and growth.

Key responsibilities of the role;
- Preparation of the Group statutory consolidation of many entities spread across different countries and currencies
- Prepare supporting working papers for the Group consolidation, including but not limited to: Group reserves reconciliation, cash flow/net debt workings, foreign exchange, intercompany elimination proofs and supporting calculations for consolidation adjustments.
- Responsible for co-ordination and preparation of the Group monthly management accounts and Board pack
- Drafting the external stat accounts, planning, co-ordinating, controlling and reviewing the input from key information providers
- Act as point of contact for the external auditor
- Responsible for ensuring that all divisional and central finance teams are aware of reporting requirements and timetable for all Group budget and forecast submissions and to assist in the Group level consolidation.
- Provide support with ad-hoc analysis to aid timely decision making at a Group wide level.
- Assist the Head of Group Reporting and in the continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of the Group Consolidation solution, acting as system expert and supporting end users.
- ACA qualified
- Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge for group reporting
- Strong systems knowledge - advanced in use of Microsoft Excel and exposure to different accounting systems
