Canon’s House offers overnight short breaks for children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex health and care needs and behaviours that can be challenging. We support children and young people aged 5 to 17 to experience stability, familiarisation, a sense of belonging and positive physical, emotional and mental health.

**About the role**
An opportunity has risen to join the Senior Leadership Team at Canon’s House, as a Senior Care Officer.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in the Leadership and Management of the home.
You will be involved in a wide range of both individual and group activities, both in-house and within the local and wider community. You will take a leading role in encouraging staff to actively contribute to the planning of enriching, enjoyable and fulfilling experiences and activities in line with the views, wishes and feelings of the children.
**About you**
You will be confident, knowledgeable and experienced, and able to supervise and support the delivery of safe care and support for children and young people with complex health care needs, including moving and handling, enteral feeding and the safe handling and administration of controlled medication.
**You must hold a Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce Diploma with social care pathway as a minimum.**
