London, United Kingdom Hines Full time

Overview:
When you join Hines, you will work alongside innovative leaders who set the standards responsible for our reputation as an industry leader today, and you’ll be a part of shaping our future in the years to come.

**Responsibilities**:
As an Associate, Logistics & Industrial with Hines, you will help build out the Hines European logistics and industrial platform with the vision of being the best logistics and industrial real estate investor, partner, and manager in Europe. You will assist the Head of European Logistics & Industrial across a number of initiatives. Some of these will be ‘transaction’ based (e.g., helping a country team write a memo related to a development project), and some will be ‘administration’ based (e.g., working with the asset management teams to improve the data in the CRM system). The role requires a genuine interest and curiosity regarding logistics real estate, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple countries. It will also require the ability to coordinate initiatives with a broad range of people, roles, and countries both within Hines and externally. Due to the breadth of this role, this role will require a relatively high level of independence, creativity, and entrepreneurial attitude. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- First line of responsibility for evaluating underwriting multi-country logistics and industrial investment opportunities. This will include working with Hines Country Teams to evaluate asset value and market leasing assumptions, underwriting and valuation.
- Work with the Hines Country Teams and the Hines Management Services group to build and maintain 1) a database of logistics and industrial assets and submarkets at the pan-European level and 2) a database of occupiers and occupational data throughout Europe.
- Work in conjunction with Country Teams and Management Services team to build out best in class pan-European logistics and industrial property management business. This will include benchmarking for best practices across Hines Country Teams, and assisting implementation on a pan-European basis.
- Attend select internal and external meetings alongside Head of European Logistics and Industrial, as appropriate, to summarize key takeaways and follow up on action items, and communicate through to Hines Country teams
- Alongside Head of Logistics & Industrial, establish and maintain relationships with pan-European investment and leasing agency communities and commercial real estate service providers. Occasional travel to London and/or other cities within Europe will be required.
- Interface with other areas within Hines, including Hines Research and Hines Innovation team to extend Hines thought leadership regarding the next generation of logistics and industrial real estate, and consider how to capitalize on these via investment.
- Maintain a project tracker (or equivalent format) to ensure key logistics & industrial projects, deliverables and milestones are tracked and deliverables are met in a timely manner and flag issues that may impede ability to deliver against timelines.
- Prepare materials for meetings and presentations, including research, agendas and PowerPoint presentations.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements include:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; MBA strongly preferred.
- Two or more years of prior work experience.
- Some real estate experience required. Genuine interest in logistics & industrial sector.
- Experience with real estate cash flow models in excel, ideally multi-country, multi-asset (e.g., ability to use vlookups to integrate data from different sheets, various sensitivity analyses, development vs. acquisition models, etc). Experience with Argus preferred, but not required).
- Experience with Powerpoint sufficient to coordinate and produce professional presentations.
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Evidence of high attention to detail, and ability to organize complex projects and document files
- Comfortability with ambiguity and ability to drive for clarity when needed
- Strong proficiency with basic MS suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and desire to learn more
